Wheel Woman runs a variety of workshops to suit all abilities - we can't wait to welcome you along to one of our workshops and ride with you!

For those of you who are REAL BEGINNERS TO THE OFF ROAD BIKING, we can run an ‘Introductory to Mountain Biking’ at Rabbit Island, let us know if this interests you!
For those of you who are real beginners to off road biking – We will be running an ‘Introduction to Mountain Biking’ at Rabbit island on the flat. It’s very easy and a great way to start. Let us know if this interests you and we will email you more details.

All workshops will be 2 hours long and timetabled in a way so that if you want to take part in two or more you will be able to. The Kaiteriteri trails have something for everyone and are an excellent coaching facility. There will be approx. an hour between workshops to re fuel or cool off in the ocean! Each workshop is $70pp OR three workshops for $200. Krankin kids taster sessions $50pp.
We’ve got some incredibly talented riders in Nelson and have managed to wrangle a couple of them as guest coaches for the day! We will have EWS racer Rae Morrison, Santa Cruz Ambassador Jamie Nicoll and long time adventurer Damian Stones. As well as founder of Wheel Woman PMBIA and NZOIA accredited coach Emma Bawtree and local rider, womens MTB advocate and PMBIA accredited coach Alice Baker, to round things out and keep everything rolling

Air time is fun times! And the best way to enjoy it is with the confidence that you’ve got your technique dialled! Whether your just starting on your air time journey or want to check in and and tweak your technique, this workshop is for you.
A beginners workshop for women looking to learn the basic mountain biking skills required on single tracks.
Extend your single track mountain biking skills and confidence. A workshop for women with experience looking to take it to the next level. Learn techniques to help you feel comfortable on steeper/rough terrain. for riders who have previously attended a Wheel Woman course or have the experience and skills to ride grade 3 trails.
Got a mini shredder who is keen for more time on their MTB? Not sure if Krankin Kids is right for them? This is the perfect taster session for them to ride with other kids and get some awesome coaching from one of our regular term time coaches!
Such a huge part on riding your bike is getting it set up to start with, then being able to fix it if something goes wrong when your far from home. These workshops are aimed at getting your bike dialled in specifically to you and teach you the basics of trailside maintenance. You will need to bring along your own trailside toolkit.

Are you keen on riding the Heaphy Track or Old Ghost Road? Not sure where to start in the planning, preparations or executing the ride itself? We are here to help you achieve your goals and hopefully help reduce stress and make your trips more enjoyable!
We will provide MTB skills preparation, bike set up, hut bookings and travel to and from Nelson. We will be there every step (pedal) of the way including supporting you on route. Your support crew will be PHEC first aid trained and have sound mechanical knowledge should you need a hand. (You will be carrying your own gear).
We’ve got some awesome ladies in Nelson who are stoked on missions and empowering other women to get into the outdoors.

We will be hosting you at the beautiful Kimi Ora Eco Lodge which is located conveniently next to Kaiteriteri MTB Park. Accommodation is well appointed shared apartment/ studio style, with access to the onsite spa and pools.
Dinner and breakfasts will be provided for the weekend. You should bring your own snacks and lunches or money for lunch. Alcoholic drinks are BYO or can be purchased from Kimi Ora.
You can choose one of two MTB skills workshops for Saturday morning depending on your skill level and what you want to achieve.

From Nelson to Kaiteriteri are self driven. We can arrange transport so let us know in advance if you will need this so we can price accordingly.
Massages at Kimi Ora can be arranged for Saturday afternoon/ evening. These need to be booked and paid for in advance of the weekend. We can help you book.
